Still can't believe its closing :( Visited the bookstore that day and spent a longer time than usual. so many books of interest and I could have bought them if I was a working adult and have my own income !!! Now I don't even have a chance DD: Wanted to buy a hello kitty pen but ohmy one small pen costs like $6 plus plus and above. And it doesn't look particularly user-friendly.. but I really want to buy sth as a momento! how how how ):

& yesterday was a happy and tiring day of walking :) met up with jolyn after like..a few years! went round chinatown looking for the dimsum place, ordering the usual dimsum and then walked around the chinatown market :) felt kinda special since its the first time I'm touring chinatown on a day so close to cny and with a friend so I was free to look at anything I want without the usual rush :) bought some kueh and bamboo cake and headed to the hawker centre to eat (cos they have tables and chairs wahahaha) and bought almond beancurd from this auntie who is quite friendly! went over to marina sq MOF for matcha drinks and Lam's for salt baked chicken ;D with much credit to jolyn's recommendations.

anyway, my timetable is confirmed and this sem I really have three day week! Quite exciting cos it means I may have more time to play badminton or maybe join some cca activities or even go out and study! ;D wheee~

Had an awesome weekend and now I'm really sooooo tired ttm.

thanks for such a wonderful time of sharing (: walking around town + clarke quay on sat (taking a straw hahahaha) and church svc + vivo today! same places, but different memories. oh, and there was a hokkaido fair at taka and the croquette was not bad hehs. not forgetting eating a packet of blueberry marshmallow by myself; and jagabee potato fries!

church service today was refreshing, I feel so refreshed and complete in His love. A year of unceasing fruitfulness, here I come :D

2011 has indeed been a year of crowned goodness. (: 2011 brought to me someone so dear to me, someone who made me realised what love is. I always thought (ok kinda naive) that love was like in the taiwan show, whereby you see some super hot and tall guy who has mesmerizing eyes and tada! everything would work out! But yeah, I realised its not so simple. Love is not just about the love at first sight thing, it also comprises of both parties making an effort to make it work. (yes didn't think about how to make the r/s last, was more focused in the past on the starting part only). Love is about knowing the other party's weaknesses, about making promises to each other, being true to your heart and being open. Its about not hurting who you love but to cherish and love :) These statements may sound simple but to me, I feel like its really the essence of it.

2011 also saw the passing of two semesters at NUS. What seemed so strange has now become familiar and these two semesters have been rather smooth-sailing despite meeting bad project mates and getting bad project grades :/ Thank God for such an amazing CAP (in my opinion) and for carrying me through.

& I'm thankful to my friends who have been with me this year :) Uh, actually not many due to my recent anti-social behaviour but I'm still grateful to those who are still there for me :) In particular, nitta for the company during lunch/dinner and for being such an awesome pillar of support, yilin for accompanying me through all those econs lectures (esp micro,thankfully she didn't pon) and adeline for godly words of wisdom and any others who helped me one way or another. Although this year made me miss kaylyn cos she was in uk most of the time and we didn't really get to see one another so often now and I can't talk/sms her as and when I want and also amy who is away for SEP such that I also can't meet her for lunch breaks and whatnot :(

2011 is also the year my body is plagued with many afflictions, I declare myself completely healed in the year of 2012!

Thank you to all who made 2011 memorable for me one way or another :)

I spent the last day of 2011 with alvin at east coast park where we cycled in the afternoon and then we sat on the rocks and admired the sunset and listened to the sea till it grew dark. I feel that it was a peaceful way to end the year. Thanks <3

christmas present from mum this year, it was delicious :)

sometimes I wish life was easier.

Checked CORS early in the morning and I was only pre-allocated two econs modules, one of which I don't want because the exam date is too close. So, I still need to bid for three of them, one of which the successful bid point has never fallen below a thousand. =/ I do not want to spend so many bid points on a single econs module! And I do not have so many points in my prog account to spend also. :S Not sure how many points I should bid for the modules tmr..

Was reading my past posts on my prev blogs and they sound so..distant from me. Perhaps it's meant to be that way.

Christmas was good. Spent xmas eve,xmas and boxing day with a special person :) Even though we didn't do much and didn't really have any concrete plans either, I enjoyed these three days and also walking under christmas lights :) Didn't really like the crowd and all that jostling, especially in town. It was hard to find seats and harder to walk at a normal pace. I usually walk very fast so didn't really like that snail speed. Oh, and not forgetting xmas service! It was awesome, in fact awesome is an understatement. I really really liked singing xmas songs and listening to the preaching by pastor prince. <3

But anyway here I am again! The TV is currently showing the taiwan super draggy show which I...don't really like. ohwells but I'm not the one watching it so..

Met good/not so good people at ikea today. Thank you God, for letting me meet someone (at least a close friend) after seeing someone whom I...okay let's not talk about it. But she just gets on my nerves with her whining which I still vividly remember.

two days to the trip! I feel so neutral about it.

Module planning is also not so good, can't seem to find a module where the lecture falls on mon/wed/fri. whyyyyyy )):

oh,and I'm really disappointed that the bookstores (Times + a rental bookstore) closed down at anchorpoint simultaneously to give way to a tuition centre and a hair salon. like wth?? a hair salon?? are singaporeans really so uneducated and materialistic? what makes it worse is that the hair salon actually had quite good business while it was rare to even have a single customer in the rental bookstore. I really don't get why this freaking country with all those shopping malls/casinos and whatnot can't even accommodate a small bookstore? If this is really what the country has become I really see no point in staying here chasing after material pursuits like everyone else because, seriously, this is really NOT the point of life. The point of life is far from getting a good haircut or hair colour. But judging from the number of annoying people I've met today, I don't think many people understand what the meaning of life is. This country seems to be run just like a firm, with a profit oriented mindset.

The post above represents my personal opinion, feel free to disagree but honestly, I feel justified in stating my stand from what I've seen.

someone prompted me to update so here I am, been wanting to update this space for awhile but have been too caught up in school and exams I guess. =/ its easy to get caught up in a whirlpool of stuff and just neglect what I used to love to do. but yeah, exams are finally over so here I am!

the bee rilakkuma above is supposed to be my motivator for the exam :) cute right? looks so much like a silent and dependable companion. hehe (: life has been good lately, how can it be otherwise with God with me? pastor prince's message today really stirred up something inside me. I never knew how to face negative situations and I always took them as something that went wrong along the way. I never knew that the area the devil attacked is actually an area that God has blessed me with :) every obstacle I face moulds me into something stronger that He can use. I know I would really love to be the reflector of His glory :) And because of that, I will go on :) One day, I shall proclaim, that His grace carried me through.

I was initially excited about my overseas trip next week but as the date draws nearer I know I am not as happy about it as I thought. Its painful to be separated from someone close to you for a few days just for a vacation. Suddenly, the thought of vacation seems kinda meaningless. Now, I just hope that these few days can at least let me have some time to think about things. At least I get to visit beaches and look at the sea and yeah, this means a good environment to think :) The recent events really require me to look at myself once more and think about what to do with all this. I need peace.

I finally realised what it means to hold someone dear to you so close.

Feeling kinda tired now,in fact my eyes are only half open :/

Spent five days together with you, though the first day I had school and subsequently for two days I was chionging homework at marina starbucks/esplanade lib and all you could do was walk around the same few areas haha (: but thanks for the latte&beef pie you bought for me when I refused to go eat lunch. and also for the "grow old with me" book of quotations :)

my assignments shall be in His hands. In Him everything that I set my hand upon shall prosper, whatever I fail to do, it will still be perfect as His finished work is flawless. SO THERE haha.

okay time to update abt ystd! At first I was also upset as it seemed that our plan wasn't going well, we didnt manage to have lunch on time and all. But it turned out well :D Set off to ecp from parkway parade and we talked and sang love songs all the way. We both can't remember lyrics well though,so we ended up singing parts of love songs instead :) I must say I'm proud that hanzi actually sang one whole part of a korean love song! *applause!* Decided to go and look for seashells and I found a few big ones :) Whereas hanzi drew a hanzi picture on the sand + found a seashell that looks like salmon sashimi. Walking around the beach with you has got to be one of the nicest things to do,especially in the drizzling rain. Waited for 401 after that but it never came so we had to walk to the other bus stop to take a bus to parkway parade. Bought bread and cup noodles to eat (: hehs.

& today was predominantly spent at suntec waiting for hillsong concert. Although it was a simple day of walking around, I really felt much joy talking about so many things (: Though I was half-asleep for half of the day. Hillsong was awesome! ;D They sang so many familiar songs and I really loved the atmosphere. <3

the rain is making me very sleepy, and right after so much fun I am reminded that I have sch tmr :(

Life has been looking up lately, tomorrow would be the start of week 3 and I'll only have lectures and one tutorial. Guess its still not so hectic now :/ Though by the end of this week I would need to do my first computing assignment..

I really don't like being caught up in all these hecticness, to be honest. I would rather finish things early so that I can continue lazing around hahaha. But I know I can't be so lazy, cos I'm not just studying for myself, I'm studying for His glory, as well as for someone else :) Sometimes when school gets so difficult I really feel like giving up, yet I know there're people I can't bear to disappoint.

And so, I push on.

I thank God for a person who has been there for me this past 6 months and 17days, taking care of me, appearing when I need help and consoling me when I feel down. Though I rant, complain and well, basically revealed my true mean nature to him, he accepts me for who I am and does not attempt to change me, only reason with me. No matter how unreasonable my requests may sound, he goes all out to make sure I'm happy. Someone who I now love to spend time with :)

glow in the dark stamps! (: everyone should go visit the philatelic museum, I really like it there.

school has reopened and third day of school I'm falling sick already. This is pure evidence of the number of bacteria in the campus~ so yesterday while watching movie with alvin I was sneezing and feeling super cold in the cinema and today I woke up with a blocked nose and sore throat. It was only after drinking a few cups of warm water/honey/milo etc. that I'm able to talk now, but not without showing that I'm evidently unwell :/ Ahh I hate this feeling of not being well, have to sleep early so that I can recover = not being able to do the things I want like coming online or even reading my books/lect notes etc.

Attempted to pass alvin my flu yesterday night but apparently it didnt work :/

anyway watched rise of the planet of the apes yesterday! Its been long since I watched a scientific movie. I really like the ape caesar! <3 but its really scary to contemplate that one day apes might really acquire that level of intelligence.

and I can't get my tutorial classes and now I'm going to have lessons from 10-6 non-stop on fridays, I wonder if I can really go through it. Even though its alternate week and I wouldn't have to go to school on thursday + I'll have the following weekends and mondays free. I really must bring one day's worth of bread and biscuits to eat since I won't even get to eat proper meals till dinner. Hope someone entertains my swap requests so I won't be so kelian next sem ):

spent sat @ vivo and siloso beach! I guess that explains the engraving on the tree. We sat on the rocks to admire the sunset and I just love how the day was spent (: & we were just in time for one for one gelato di bruno icecream~ sunday was spent predominantly on helping alvin's cousin in her work whereas monday we met at vivo again for dinner! Not forgetting today where you came down to accompany me for bidding(hahaha bidding is so zzz) but anyway, I'm just so thankful for the times we have together.

finally, settled all these modules stuff! time for tutorial arrangement :) three/four day week whoo~

Wanted to blog about my hokkaido trip but cant get past that inertia feeling. The photos are all on fb though :) It was a really relaxing trip and we usually get to return to the hotel in the late afternoon to enjoy the onsen or just rest. & for one night we got to stay in a traditional japanese hotel just next to lake toya! so in the morning we went for a walk and it was so refreshing,with beautiful flowers and lavender lining up the path and listening to the sounds in the morning :) and there were fireworks at night! though it was kinda slow cos we had to wait for the boat to move slowly across the lake and I was really sleepy at that time. nonetheless, it was an amazing trip and I totally heart hokkaido! Hope to go there during the cherry blossom season/winter. ohoh, and I got to pick cherries and strawberries for the first time :) Hehehe.

I miss lavender icecream ))))))))))))):
& I don't want school to start.

haha behind me is the new look-alike ice-cream bicycle where one big family can finally be on the same bicycle and its also making me feel very tempted to buy ice-cream from them (: the problem with this bicycle is that it occupies almost the whole cycling track such that I can't seem to overtake them but they're also too slow for me to be behind them all the time. And so, this almost caused an accident. Thank God its just almost :) Dinner at little red house and star gazing after that! (: moments like that that makes me love life more. Saw an alignment of four stars (: if only I can really stay there and look at the stars for the whole night.

& yesterday was spent watching kungfu panda 2 and walking around town. I like the emphasis on inner peace rather than brute strength to defeat the opponent. =D

I really don't know which is the right path to embark on. God, I feel lost.

My mum's birthday just passed :) Had a simple dinner at swensens, the food was terrible but ohwells. The ice cream is fine though. Maybe abit less than fine.

Thank you mum for so many things. For being ever so patient with me, though you don't usually hesitate to scold me when I make mistakes, I guess its really the best way to make me learn from them. Cos when you usually tells me patiently what went wrong I'll always just listen half-heartedly. I never want to think of your care for me as being for granted and I really want to cherish everyday with you together,even the days when we just lay on the sofa lazily and talk about life. Its these little moments together that really make me :). She's about the only person I can talk to in an unreserved manner about so many things I'm going through and even the friends I like/dislike. Thanks for the protection,the concern and the love these 20 years :) I know its been tough, cos I'm really not the nicest or the most easy-going person around but I'm thankful to God that you are my mum :) Hope you had a happy birthday!

:) tmr marks the first unofficial day of my work though I don't think I'll get any pay for turning up tmr cos its orientation. Hehe.

meetup with alvin at airport today :) another quiet and nice place,esp terminal 3. Kind of wished I stayed near there, though it would be miles apart from NUS then. Hope I'll have time to go there again, if only just to walk around. Would be a nice way to spend a day :) Maybe the environment is just what I need to finish reading pride&prejudice.

I am feeling shocked about myself today, telling him some things about myself I thought I would never tell anyone. After all, ill-treating kids at my previous job is really not something to brag about. But it also made me realise that love is not just seeing the virtues of the other party. Its also about understanding the weaknesses the other party faces and to push each other on. Just like today, instead of saying 'oh you've finally revealed your true colours!' he just shared with me his past experience and simply told me that things would get better :) c'est la vie. The only difference is that I have God with me :)

lunch with ade and nat at tcc today before arrow svc! 1 for 1 promotion heehee :) the salmon mentaiko spaghetti was good, but listening to them was even better. Praise God for kingdom friendships :) had job interview too which reminds me of a conversation between me and alvin on the way to the mrt station.

Alvin: I think you got a high chance of being selected.
Me *excited*: OH WHY?
Alvin: Because u look japanese!
Me: ...... *speechless*

took train home from tanah merah mrt station and played the unblock me game on my phone all the way. Initially when I downloaded this game I thought it was so difficult to solve the puzzles and I would delete the application after sometime cos I cant solve them but alvin kinda guided me through the first few and now its the game I play most frequently compared to other comparatively easier games like bejeweled. Highlights the importance of godly counsels that led me to play a more brain-stimulating game now :)

another achievement of the week is helping jen move house, first time I really participated so actively by cleaning the cupboards and arranging books and using a penknife to cut open boxes! tiring yet fun at the same time, especially after seeing it all set up nicely.

I can't say I can't live without you because I can, I just don't want to.

sometimes I can't help but wonder what it would be like if I didn't make certain decisions, didn't embark on this path, didn't choose to commit to a course of action. When everything suddenly dawned on me,its too late to withdraw. But I know God's thoughts are higher than my thoughts, and His ways higher than mine, and so, He'll make a way for me, just like how He has for the past (almost) two years.

got called for interview on sat, excited but nervous at the same time. :)

feeling kinda sad about the gradual loss of good food passed down from past generations. went to alexandra market (or wherever you call it, not sure what they call that market now but its located near ikea) and there's this claypot laksa which I tried once and found to be not bad. unfortunately they decided to rent the stall out to one of the past helpers from china who is not only unhygienic but there was a sharp drop in the quality of the food as well. =/ the guy put all the chillies into this box and then put it on the floor and kick it around? ohwell. then the fishball noodles which I like didnt continue its business after the renovation of the market recently. and the fruit juice stall which I also like dont sell cut fruits anymore and the juices are now only available for takeaway and its much more diluted now. somehow the fruit juice was nicer when its in a tall big glass. Hmm.. =( because of our past support for the stall the boss sold us two slices of pineapples and they tasted heavenly :) I somehow feel that its such a waste only selling fruit juice which doesnt taste as nice as when you eat the fruits since the fruits the uncle sells is always very sweet and nice :)

highlights of underwater world and song of the sea! (:

took monorail+bus to underwater world realising that actually we could have just walked there, spent a few hours there touring and going for the live seal show. felt that they were really pitiful to be trained to perform like that in front of people for tourism's sake so didnt stay for the dolphin show >.< just couldnt bear to watch anymore D: but actually its bad enough that fishes are kept in those aquariums for like, possibly their whole lives to be admired by people. walked to siloso beach to chill before heading for dinner at ramen play, bought tickets for song of the sea and went nz natural to get some icecream while waiting and homeways we go after the performance (:

been very lazy to update recently :p which explains the lack of updates!
life has been interesting lately, been going to places I'm familiar with and places I've never been to before and even though I may just be walking around randomly with no fixed destination in mind, somehow I feel a simple joy from all this :)

was around my previous workplace today,ah how I miss those times. stopped by starbucks for half-price frap,the queue was so long and its mostly made up of working adults which makes me wonder- how come they can queue for 1 hr to buy frap? Hmm. and I overhead them saying they're buying for their bosses too.

argh downloaded the bible app into my phone today but it needs internet connection to work :/ v disappointed ):

its 1.23 am and i feel sleepy. been going for reform's rallies two days in a row! and stayed till the end somemore. had fun listening to the speeches, and came home with two pens and a big reform flag! hopefully everyone will have the courage to vote for the party they think can serve them well. think if your life has actually improved/deproved/remained stagnant these 5 years, whether what u really need is just for the lift to stop at every floor or look at the statistics which says singapore is attaining a higher GDP growth year by year, when the truth is, all we feel is just the impact of the inflation and not the benefits of the growth. giving us a few hundred dollars once every few years isn't really going to help. so please wake up and face the truth, that we really need the voice of the opposition in parliament! this is proven very simply, by PAP's reactions during this elections, how they've apologised and even start to show disharmony within their own party. This kinda alr reflect how united they are, despite their claims of how they have led singapore through the financial crisis and all that. They're actually afraid of the opposition when in reality, they don't have much to fear cos the majority is on their side. But now, they're actually turning to majority against their side.

If this is their election tactic, this shows how successful and skilful they actually are.

Lets all vote wisely on the 7th! too bad I can't vote ):

ahhh feeling tired ): 2 days to finals.

the tv is playing a rerun of secret garden. love that show (:

study dates with alvin have been very productive! we kept thinking that we wouldn't be able to meet because of exams but we managed to find some pretty awesome places to study- like the food court we went to today where there was a really quiet section and I could even see the cable cars from where I was sitting, and not forgetting marina sq's coffee club with comfy chairs and a nice atmosphere :) haha. and next door is muji where alvin's favourite jellybeans are. all in all, its good to have someone to be with me when I study, and everytime I drift away he'll put my attention back on the books again. studying is not such a bad way to spend a day I suppose, though I'm still glad hols are drawing nearrrr!

today that silly person bought $13 worth of jellybeans from candy empire hahaha ;p the jelly beans felt so heavy in my hands. I conclude that the price of jellybeans is undergoing hyperinflation.

first up, I'm twenty! or rather twenteen, hehe. just wanted to express my heartfelt thanks to those who bought gifts for me, remembered my birthday, sent me smses throughout the day especially adeline who sent it at 12am on the dot and yenler who sent it yesterday also at 12am to be the last (: personally, I always thought its very heartwarming for a friend to remember your birthday and fork out the time amidst the hectic schedule to actually buy a gift for you, no matter how small. its really the thought that counts. though i dunno why this year my presents seem very childish ;p hehe. but thanks so much!

not forgetting the one who celebrated for me,despite being so tired and suffering from a severe lack of sleep but still tried to get something that i would like. really appreciate every little thing you do. (: you brightened up my semester with your appearance, even the most boring lectures suddenly seem more meaningful. and also our random vivo outings and cone day! so many things we've done together,and much more to do during the hols (:

Going to be april soon! yes can't believe a semester is going to be over again, really need to start gearing up for preparations for finals, and a way to begin is by purchasing the exam solutions, which, as I've just realised, certainly has skipped alot of years in its exams questions. Like 2006 to 2009. ahwell,anything that can help me prepare for finals is good! =D regardless of how cui it is. thanks alvin for buying the solutions for me :)

supposed to be doing the write-up for SS project as always but really don't know what to write? really dislike mods with projects. dislike dislike :/ I like to write literature essays, but not argumentative essays. But I'm thankful this module made me realise I have free entrance to museums HAHAHA I must definitely make full use of this benefit in my holidays by going to different museums everyday! what an awesome way to spend my holidays, being immersed in historic and artistic atmosphere.really feel blessed with such a privilege (:

hmm been going to vivo more frequently these days! today spent a few hours there walking around in the bookstore as usual and bought lots of stuff from marks&spencer, haha thats also a part of preparing for exams I guess? By buying cookies I can munch on during exam prep wahaha.

went to the museum again today! (: had more time to walk around and admire the exhibits slowly, the museum is such a nice serene place, I love these kinds of places,it has a very unique kind of atmosphere. The exhibition at level 1 is so pretty! not forgetting alvin who bought a postcard for me :) ahahaha I feel like a tourist but I haven't held such a nice postcard in my hands for a long time. walked to raffles city for lunch before going for kbox. Hehe kbox was memorable (: now they have touch screen menu! so amazing.

the dreams beyond your wildest imaginations

havent had time to update this space, its hard to settle down and pen my thoughts here recently I realise. I don't know where exactly to start from. My mood's swinging like anything and I feel kinda lost sometimes, esp when I'm alone. Its quite scary when you start to contemplate about things in life, because its really so complicated, like a tangled web that I cannot unravel.

I shall not talk so much about the ongoing events in my life. But I just wanted to use this avenue to pen down my thanks to some people.

alvin; I know there's no need for the word thanks between us, for I understand the motivations behind your actions. But really, I know that you always try to accomodate me and my timings, no matter how last minute it may be. Even at the sacrifice of your sleep/work, when you know I need you, you'll always appear. You're always here to rescue me time and time again, esp during this difficult period when nothing seems to be going right. Haven't really touched my work except going for tutorials and stuff, just really don't have time right now. By right, I would hv been really freaked out. But with you by my side it seems like everything will really work out in the end. Seeing your exhaustion pains my heart, but I know deep down we're comforted by each other's company. It doesn't need to be filled with conversations all the time, even silence is good as long as we can see each other. We shall pull through this together, just like how it always have been.

nitta;nothing's easy,esp with relationships. I'm so grateful for the time today, we finally had time to sit down and really talk to each other. (: we shall emerge stronger out of it all, and know that God wants you to be happy as well, its Him that wants to see you most blessed. Never look back on your decision, know that someday it'll all work out. Cast your uncertainties and your cares to Him, for He always has a better plan. sisters forever! (:

today is a not so good day ):

but I feel more cheered up now, finally finished my SEA essay. shall leave everything to God's hands.

got back 2303 score and tmr getting back 2101, really not such an awesome thing. totally didnt make my day.

was feeling kinda sad about it,till I switched on the news and watched the updates on the Japan earthquake, how there are remnants of objects left from people who once lived in the town which had just been leveled by the work of nature. Human beings just become so helpless when it comes to the forces of nature, isn't it? looking at all the destruction just makes me feels saddened. really must treasure every single day :)

meanwhile, shall keep praying for Japan!

yesterday was a good day(haha my vocab is suddenly limited to good/not so good) but yup, went for 3rd with alvin and pastor lawrence's sermon was really refreshing :) really reminded of the time when I first joined the church. so much time have passed since then. finally tried the il gelato di bruno's icecream! :DD Hehehe. took a bus down to vivo for dinner,walked around before having dinner at tajimaya. had to charcoal grill the beef,chicken, fish and japanese sweet potato by ourselves and I totally made everything overburnt. In the end I gave up and let alvin display his awesome culinary skills while I sat there waiting for everything to be grilled nicely hahaha.

Everytime when friday arrives it seems as if a whole week has just passed. (: Ended the friday by dinner with alvin plus walking around town which equates to seeing familiar faces. Dinner was nice,we seem to have a craving for chinese food nowadays :) We finally ordered the right amt of food today and finished all the food including the peanuts,hurray!

I feel like I suddenly have the habit of updating this space. So many things I'm experiencing yet I never know how to start organising my thoughts and penning them down one by one. Most imptly is service today (: service was really awesome I love the song!

Your love will never fail,how true indeed. It suddenly dawned on me today, actually more like hit me rather, the perfect notion of love can really only be found in Jesus alone. He provides and cares for me and only asks for my faith in return. Everytime I'm feeling down He'll be the refuge that I need, the one I run to in times of trouble. Yet He never forsakes, through every storm in my life He's there. His promise is unshakable, not like humans who can say one thing today and do another tomorrow. Placing faith in humans can leave you hurt badly in the end for humans can never be perfect. They can provide for you but they also ask alot from you in return. You start to discover flaws about them you never knew and you have to ask yourself everyday whether they'll still stand by you today. But with Jesus, His word is that He will never forsake. So amazing amen?

I'm thankful to be blessed with someone in my life today (:

fun day of cycling today!(: Although I got a shock cos it was going to rain, so I was panicking to reach the shelter and almost banged into a tree. But I am fine (: Thank you God for the protection. studied with alvin yesterday (: it was definitely a day to remember, especially our talk at the slanted fountain, not forgetting being splashed by droplets of water, but it was all worth it. the lasers made the fountain quite colourful though.

then today was with nitta at esplanade lib again! really starting to love the place, think I'm going to make it a habit to study there again. That place fills my heart with tranquility and gives me the peace I need to study, yet not exactly totally dead drop silent either. studying there makes me feel accomplished and joyful (: the scenery outside is beautiful too, with the skyscrapers and all, especially at night when it all lights up.

I deleted some friends off fb. some people I don't even know and some people whom I hardly talk to. I somehow wish my fb profile can just be purely limited to my close bunch of friends.

Kinda finished reading some stuff for my econs midterms, yet when I try out the questions I find them scarily difficult :/ Then I go back to reading the textbook again and just end up feeling so lost. But I know Jesus is my wisdom and I'll pull through,for He will be there for me every step of the way :)

Haven't done a proper update for eons, and I feel like since its recess week, should take some time to update this space as well. Studying has been busy, seems like it has occupied much of my time nowadays. When I look back on the time I've spent, I think most of it is spent on doing something academic-related. Can't wait for the three months break which seems so far away!

Other than that, I want to thank someone for being there for me recently :) For your every little gestures, heartfelt words/poems, the necklace I still can't stop looking at, and just being there everytime I need you, and apologising when you can't really always be around. Thanks so much for going to service with me, and experiencing God's awesome-ness together :) Looking forward to more happy moments :)

Didn't get all my desired tutorial slots but I'm happy enough, managed to keep my 3 day week :) I'm thankful to you God, for ever being so faithful. At a time when I feel lost and in need of direction, You step out to help me, as always :) I want to call upon Your wisdom, because I know nothing would ever be so difficult anymore.

And the thing is, I didn't manage to get any economics tutorial slots with yilin/amy which means I'll be alone for all my tutorials, including southeast asia and my ss mod. Shall look on the bright side and be more independent and hopefully get to meet a few more people?

look,the northlodge is so nice now and it even has a freaking shelter! that shelter would have helped me so much if it had been there during my time..

went to ac open house decked in red colleagiate with nitta and it felt sooo good not having to wait in such a long queue for a simple bowl of yong tau foo. and the yong tau foo in AC was much more cheaper too. too bad the auntie dont recognise me anymore ): saw many familiar teachers but so many unfamiliar people around now. defamiliarisation taking place yo.

so anyway, got like five minutes to type out this post before I go to sleep. my personal resolution to sleep before 11.30 for my 8am ss lecture tmr which hopefully wont be zzz. If not I'll be in lalaland very soon I think~

yup so meigi crashed my macroecons lecture which was super uber difficult! we had to sit on the floor cos I was twenty mins late and the whole lecture theatre was full but thankfully the lecturer gave break so we moved to the first row which was much better except that it was hard to see the screen! then after the lecture brought her to the deck(jokes) and we walked to the alumni house and the graduate club (: used the linkbridge from the new business building to go there because the entrance looked super intimidating. meigi is convinced that NUS has a posh environment because srsly, the large swimming pool, the buffet and everything at the graduate club looked almost like a hotel (: and there was even a kids playroom,lounge and jackpot room. totally changed my perspective of NUS! went to yih food court for pepper lunch before going to holland v to chill and draw our family motto~

Had a 2 hour econometrics lecture today! Even though it was only two hours and I sat right in front (due to yilin's endeavour of being a good student) I seriously almost fell asleep even though all she talked about was basic stuff like variance, standard deviation etc. which I've sadly, long forgotten D: BUT I shall persevere and remain undaunted and draw on God's strength for I'm studying for His glory and not mine (:

& lunch with nitta and adeline was :D although I still don't get how come those two indians can just plop themselves on the seats that are so obviously not meant for them and continue eating their nasi briyani and be SO oblivious to the world around them aka not even being able to tell that those seats are actually RESERVED. omg what is this world coming to..not mentioning AT. The school seems very crowded and chaotic because of them right now.

went to anchorpoint to return my book PS I love you before going vivo to shop :D Must cherish the time to shop before the hectic-ness overwhelms me. Dinner @ shin kushiya was superb! ;D

Came across all these flashing cute images while browsing through pictures on my laptop. New year never fails to bring a nostalgic feeling, to me at least. Anyway, I'm feeling abit lethargic to upload photos but I guess I'll try to do it before school starts, in like 6 days :/

Yesterday was a relaxing day spent at settlers' cafe with yiliang,edmund,amanda and wanxin for our IFG outing! :D first time spending four hours at a cafe playing board and card games like kill dr lucky, jungle speed and monopoly deal. totally got thrashed by the guys though and didn't win any games at all :( dinner at kura @ tokyo walker. I'm proud to say I only ate two gyozas! talking to yiliang on the bus trip home reminds me of ac days (:
